{style} san francisco scarf…

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I love retweeting The Bold Italic. Their articles really speak to those living in San Francisco day to day, amongst its many quirks and gems.

In addition to its daily musings, The Bold Italic has a growing online shop featuring local artists, gift ideas and fun prints. I love this San Francisco map silk scarf collaboration between The Bold Italic and Jennifer Maravillas.

Scarves are essential in San Francisco’s climate and I never leave home without one draped around my neck. I like the size of this silk number and the wide range of colors means you can wear it with almost everything.

I know $120 is steep for a scarf, but it is 100% silk and completely timeless. At least that is what I keep trying to convince myself.

I need these in my life. The perfect amount of sparkle, a decent sized heel and a neutral color that will match almost everything- what more could a girl need?

A year-round boot is essential for San Francisco’s unpredictable weather. I tend to pick dark brown, cognac colored boots but have been feeling the void of a black version this Fall.

I had my eyes on a pair from Madewell and finally went in to try them last weekend. They were perfect- matte worn leather, minimal riding straps and so comfortable. I obviously toyed with the idea of getting the brown version instead, but luckily my husband swayed me back to black. I guess he has noticed my pile of brown boots in the closet!

I still might go back for the brown though…

I’m digging Gap’s new slipper style loafers. They come in tons of colors and patterns, most of which are just $39.95 a pair. I love them worn with a pair of dark denim, a plain tee and a school boy blazer- perfect for the summer fall transition.
