I somehow forgot to add that I tried the Argentine beef empanada at Venga Empanadas a couple of months ago! Although it was really freshly baked and had a great pastry texture, I am not convinced it should be on the ‘big eat 2012′ list. I guess I expected a bit more variation in the beef flavour. The service however is excellent and I am glad to support small businesses in San Francisco.

This weekend I’m thinking of tackling the pickled egg at Comstock Saloon and deviled eggs at Park Tavern- anyone care to join?
